  • Dhaweeye has started its operations in Hargeisa on Feb 2018. It did not take long before Somalis understood the concept of ride sharing. Soon they were all on board. Both drivers and passengers flocking into the system. Now Dhaweeye had to expand their team, hire more engineers, management team and most importantly customer service representatives. Passengers were equally happy as the drivers, for transport had only become safe and secure, but also reliably cost-effective.

  • Powered with social media, Dhaweeye started raising awareness by creating series of videos for the public. The reaction was unexpectedly positive. The frequent queries of how the product works came in torrents across the 10 cities. This was a clear indication that Somalia urgently needed a reliable ridesharing app, and this has become the very story of Dhaweeye today.
